Surmised ~ vb ~ to think or infer without certain or strong evidence
The old woman surmised that the resolution of the story would be the death of the main character.

Bounteous ~ adj ~ giving or disposed to give freely
The bounteous man shared his food with the birds.

Consort ~ n ~ company or association
The consort of the queen of full of royal snobs who thought they were better than everyone. 

Corporal ~ n ~ a noncommissioned officer ranking above a private first class in the U.S. Army or lance corporal in the Marines and below a sergeant.
Private First Class Johnson was promoted to Corporal.


Prate ~ vb ~ to talk excessively and pointlessly, babble
Riley tends to prate about things that nobody understands.


Dauntless ~ adj ~ no to be intimidated; fearless
